Summary/Abstract: Settled in Edirne in 1927, Bulgarian-born Osman Nuri Peremeci was appointed as a teacher of Bulgarian origin Turkish primary and secondary school students at Bulgarian First School in the following year. In the paper, based on a variety of documents kept in Bulgarian archives, the first years of Peremeci at Bulgarian First School are uncovered.
