Summary/Abstract: An underlying principle of the university assignment is to function as a community for discover a truth. Nowadays, the social, economical, and cultural changes significantly influenced the role and function of the university. Lots of changes arose as a result of the adapting necessity of Polish universities to legal regulations which function in other members of EU. Doctoral studies are the challenge in a time of the university crisis. In present manuscript the main trends of modification the university organization, as well as the background of doctoral studies organization, and a suggestion to involve a subject “The select issues for high school didactics of the third degree studies” in third degree studies, are presented.
