Time to give a new meaning to German Language Studies

Summary/Abstract: Most institutes of German Studies in Poland continue to experience declining enrollment of students, among others, because of the declining attractiveness of their study programmes. German Studies, like most humanities disciplines, serve the purpose of vocational guidance rather than immediate vocational training. Most graduates of German Language Studies know that they are not qualified enough with their degree for a particular professional field. But with appropriate additional skills and good knowledge of business administration, environmental protection, project management and data processing, however, they can improve their career prospects.
