Summary/Abstract: Using a convincing and argued method, the study presents the values, principles, and the relevant ideas advanced by Vasile Goldiş as a cultural activist, his concepts regarding the literature’s and arts’ efficacy and their functions in the development of the society, his ideas about the communication’s role in the world of culture and arts, the relations between the mankind’s great scholars and their work perception and effects. Even nowadays, the ideas of Goldiş, his demonstrations and axiological assessments still exert a valuable role of targeting and coordinating the cultural development, due to their rationality, pragmatism and human values.
