Summary/Abstract: This paper considers the cognitive aim, which concerning issues of leadership in the organization. Taken considerations are subordinated to the problem of using paradox perspective in explaining the essence of shaping the leadership in an organization. The shaping the leadership is understood as a model, which is used in an organization, for creating the leadership roles and leadership competencies. Paradox perspective in the leadership has been shown by using the structure of competing values, which explains the complex nature of managerial work and the need to appreciate the competing values, ie. their balancing and connecting. This paper does not refer to the state of ignorance, but rather to the attempt to present the discussed issues from the paradox perspective. Implementation of the aim took place on the way of literature study.
