Summary/Abstract: A former city of Russia’s military and naval glory, Sevastopol is now on the territory of Ukraine. The author takes up for discussion the notion of „patriotism”, such as it is understood by the Russian citizens and unfortunately, also by part of the authorities – namely the concern for ethnic cleansing.
