Summary/Abstract: The main purpose of the work is an analysis of key macro- and micro-environmental factors influencing the choice of Japanese FDI in the automotive sector in Poland. The conclusions are based on a comparative analysis of the selected index (GCI and LPI) of Eastern European Coun-tries as well as on own surveys conducted in Lower Silesia region. The study confirms that the social and economic situation of a country is very important factor for Japanese investors.
