Summary/Abstract: This article presents a short period of the late 20th century diplomacy of the Second Republic of Lithuania during which attempts were made to help find a peaceful solution to the problems of independence of the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria. The material discussed in the article should serve for more in-depth studies of the history of diplomacy of the Second Republic of Lithuania.
