Summary/Abstract: Analysing folk epics Death of Mother Jugović and Building of Skadar, the verses of Dušan Matić in the poem Let Rivers Run and the paintings of Vladimir Veličković Black Sun, Grünevald and Birth IV, this essay searches for a possible answer to the question whether and to what extent pain is involved in a work of art and what role the categories of space and time play. Searching for the answer, the knowledge of psychology and neurology was employed.
