Summary/Abstract: The subject of the analyses presented in the article is the relationship between the level of mother stress and the following variables characterising the test sample, ie .: mother age, place of residence, education level and age of a child. In order to determine relation between the above mentioned variables and the level of stress experienced, one statistical tool has been used, i.e.: one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA). The analysis of the above-mentioned relations was performed in three groups of people. Apart from mothers of children with autism, there were mothers of children with Down's syndrome and mothers of children developing properly. The results indicate that younger mothers (20 - 30 years), mothers with higher education and living in small towns or rural areas, are in a relatively better situation in terms of parental stress experienced.
