Summary/Abstract: The article presents the semantic development of the verb “masakrować” in contemporary Polish. Meanings of this lexeme not recorded in dictionaries of Polish have been discussed. Particular attention has been paid to the popularity it is gaining in texts regarding political topics where it is used to report words of a third party (in sentences like “Korwin masakruje lewaka”).
