Specificity of Group Insurance in the Light of the Act on Insurance and Reinsurance Activities and the Civil Code

Summary/Abstract: Group insurance contracts are common agreements concluded on the Polish insurance market. Their dynamic development does not go hand in hand with the legal regulation, which has been indicated by the doctrine for many years. The aim of the article is to answer the question how the Act on Insurance and Reinsurance Activities adopted on 11 September 2015 and the regulations of the Civil Code have changed the legal basis for the establishment and the execution of insurance relations on the group insurance market ,taking into account the specificity of such insurance.
