Some reflections on the fair compensation for damages resulting from traffic accidents or collisions

Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to identify the determinants of the implementation of the idea of justice in the process of compensation for damages resulting from traffic accidents and collisions. Due to the limited length of the article, the Author has merely indicated several aspects of the issue. Assuming a close relationship between equity and efficiency the attention was particularly focused on the diversity of the compensation systems adopted in different countries as well as on the scope of freedom of courts in cases related to the compensation for damages resulting from traffic accidents or collisions.
