Summary/Abstract: : To implement PiS (Law and Justice) policy statement, Beata Szydło’s government has made an effort to rebuild Poland’s ship-building industry. The government founded the Ministry of Water Management and Inland Navigation, the parliament accepted a bill on ship-building industry and a decision was made that passenger - cargo ferries are going to be made in Szczecin.The aim of the paper is to analyse the policies of Polish government on the activation of production ship-yards after the parliamentary election of 2015. An attempt was made to answer the following question: To what extend the policies of Beata Szydło’s government will affect the development of Poland’s ship-building industry?
