Summary/Abstract: A rebellion od the North–Albanian tribes in 1871. had a strong support in Montenegro. Monenegrian consul of that time in Skadar was Pero Pejovic who played a great role in connection of the tribes’ leaders with the duke Nicola. He asked Montegrian goverment to help these tribes in their fight against Turkish power. That kind of help meant for unprepared Montenegro entry in the war with Turkey. However, Montenegro didn’t take a direct part in these rebellions. A great number of the leaders of these tribes visited duke Nicola and for some od them Montenegro was a shelter.
