Summary/Abstract: The tourism sector is a service-based sector. Due to this characteristic, the quality of the service offered in the tourism sector is also very important. In order to provide quality service, educated personnel are needed. In our country, there are institutions providing tourism education at the level of high school, associate degree, undergraduate and graduate level in order to meet the needs of educated personnel required by the sector. Higher education institutions have an important place at the point of meeting the needs of educated personnel that are needed by the sector. In higher education institutions, the place of associate degree is very important in particular for the provision of trained intermediate staff. However,enterprises operating in the sector have to incur various costs to provide services. Therefore, the control of costs is also an important matter as well as the quality of service. This is achieved through accounting knowledge. For this reason, it is necessary to include accounting courses in tourism trainings given. In the study, content analysis was carried out and for this purpose; the curricula of vocational schools providing tourism training at associate degree level were examined. The presence of accounting courses in the said curricula was analyzed and the available accounting courses were examined in terms of competence and variety as well. In the study, it was determined that some of the vocational schools that provide tourism training in our country did not have any accounting courses at all, and in some schools they did not have accounting classes at adequate levels
