Summary/Abstract: In Poland, Slovak translatological thought is associated with the concepts of Anton Popovič and his school of translation. In 1977, it published a book by Ľubomír Feldek Z reči do reči, which is important for Slovak translatology. The author presented in it his concept of translation based on his own practical experience as a translator. The publication sparked discussion and controversy, which is still interesting for Slovak translation theorists.
