Summary/Abstract: Postage stamp with a picture of the birth of Christ by Martin Schongauer (1440 – 1491) withthe presentation of the cave was the reason for research and other works of this painter. Thegraphics Christ on the Mount of Olives seems to be showing a stalagmite as remain of theunroofed cave.
