Summary/Abstract: This contribution is dedicated to the contrastive investigation of French phrasemes with a religious specificity, trying to examine the semantic varieties of this idiomatic category. We will identify and exemplify their correspondences into Romanian, by analyzing both the componential and content equivalence. As a conclusion, we will justify all these consonances and dissonances through the fact that the phraseological vocabulary of the two languages belongs to the same cultural space, on the one hand, and on the other hand, by preserving the cultural specificity of each nation, separately.
