Summary/Abstract: In the 21 century, the most valuable intangible asset is the human capital-the source of organizations value.In the knowledge economy, the organizational priority must be the managing of the human capital investment in order to benefit from it, in order to increase the innovating capacity and the market performance.The knowledge intensive organisation are managing the process of knowlede generating and integrating through the delivering of the frame of the social relationship development.The survival capacity of the organization consists of its ability to generate human and structural capital. The knowledge management is build on the human capital of individuals and has as task to emphasise to the organisation leaders the human capital value and its critical importance for the value creation. The main caracteristics of the human capital in the 21 century organization are concerning : the increasing role of the cognitive skills, leadership, design, creativity, innovation, estetics.A new social group appeared: the knowledge based workers –high skilled individuals, well motivated to developt their knowledge. Their human capital is high valuable for the organizations, for its contribution to the business performance and the strategic organizational goals.
