Summary/Abstract: Praca jest w wielorakich wymiarach powiązana z godnością człowieka, będąc zarówno celem, jak i wyrazem człowieczeństwa. Obejmuje fizyczną, psychiczną i duchową sferę człowieka, jego indywidualność i wyjątkowość. Stanowi o samorealizacji osoby ludzkiej. Godność jest także wartością normatywną, na jej podstawie można kierować określone roszczenia i powoływać się na nią przed sądem. Godność człowieka nie jest prawem podmiotowym, uzyskanym w wyniku przyjęcia określonej normy w akcie prawnym, lecz jest prawem naturalnym. Jest bowiem przyrodzonym i niezbywalnym prawem człowieka. Aksjologiczne oparcie praw człowieka na ideałach godności ludzkiej znajduje odzwierciedlenie w regulacjach prawa międzynarodowego, a także na poziomie ustawodawstwa krajowego. Jej zachowanie jest podstawową wartością w całym systemie prawa. Znajduje także odzwierciedlenie w społecznej odpowiedzialności biznesu (CSR) oraz społecznej nauce Kościoła. Work is related to human dignity in numerous dimensions. Human dignity is both a goal and an expression of humanity. It encompasses physical, mental and spiritual spheres of the human being, their individuality and uniqueness. It determines the self-realization of a human being. Dignity is also a normative value. On its basis one may direct certain demands and cite it in court. Human dignity is not a subjective right, acquired as a result of adopting a certain norm through a legal act, but it is the natural law. It is an inherent and inalienable human right. The axiological foundation of human rights on the ideals of human dignity is reflected in the regulations of international law, as well as in national legislation. The preservation of human dignity is a fundamental value in the whole system of law. It is also reflected in the corporate social responsibility (CSR) as well as in the social teaching of the Church.
