Homily at the Celebration of the Three Holy Hierarchs: Basil the Great, Gregory the Theologian and John Chrysostom

Summary/Abstract: The homily in the honor of the Three Holy Hierarchs, Vasile the Great, Grigorie the Theologist and John Chrysostom, wishes to highlight the pastoral life and activity of the three great teachers of the Church, who have lived during the 4th century, shepherding, with wisdom and devotion, the believers in the Capadocia Caesarea, in the Syria Antioch and in Constantinople. We have also tried to offer our readers a history of this celebration by exposing the reasons that have led to its enactment, during the 11th century, in Constantinople.
