PRINCIPLES AND RULES OF ENGAGEMENT OF THE AIR DEFENSE SYSTEMS

Summary/Abstract: Air defense is one of the most important components of the modern armed conflicts, whose development was generated by the evolution of the air attack means. Aerial threats have grown exponentially and the trend regarding air systems is to achieve high performance in terms of range, accuracy and countermeasures against ground air defense means. To ensure the success during the preparation and conduct of conventional operations, the use of air defense means is accomplished by certain principles and rules designed to create proper conditions in order to perform specific missions with maximum efficiency.
