Summary/Abstract: The paper reveals problems of entrepreneurial training in real companies and simulation practice enterprises established in Lithuanian colleges. Simulation practice enterprises or Practice Firms are considered as learning organizations, in which the staff participates in teamwork and the managers must determine the mission and aims of the organization, and ensure far-seeing strategic planning, delegate powers to the employees, and determine the degree of openness of information distribution. The Practice Firm as a training method is a tool which combines modern, up-to-date learning methods and exposes students and teachers to internationalisation. Educational institutions these days are seeking for ways to expand their learning networks, not only internationally by but also globally. The Practice Firm network already offers a global play-ground with endless possibilities. The paper discusses tendencies of the development of Practice Firms in European countries as well as in Lithuania. The overview of experience in European countries presents a picture of the development of business competence in various countries by distinctive ways. Still it allows for a certain interpretation of different tasks and solutions that can be expressed at four institutional levels: European, national, Practice Firm, Real Enterprise. The study focuses on the standpoint of the Practice Firm’s training teachers, managers of real companies and students. The results of the research present Business Practice Firms as an ideal tool for learning strategies. They train students for real life work, for the use of new technologies and improvement of social cohesion and equal opportunities. Presently Business Practice Firms are the most suitable model for the development of entrepreneurship in Lithuanian colleges.
