Summary/Abstract: The formative years of the future king were always a particular preoccupation for the Royal House, when alongside the family education were added lessons and information from governess, tutors and teachers. Alike the sovereign holds a particularly important role in this extensive education process. Photos show imagines of King Michael’s childhood playing with his favourite toys and games. Likewise he is symbolically shown at a desk reading, writing or drawing. The books and notebooks express the importance of a systematic education in the mission of forming an Heir to the throne.
