Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to present the concept of sustainable human resource management as well as to answer the question to what extent this concept is applied in practices of medium-sized and large companies in Poland. We employ desk research method using secondary sources such as: statistical data, data from PARP’s Bilans Kapitału Ludzkiego (Human Capital Balance), published research, and scientific papers. Our findings reveal mixed results. The conclusions are as follows: the assessment of company practices in the light of the concept of sustainable human resource management is ambiguous. We observed both positive and negative trends. We conclude by saying that large size enterprises apply sustainable HRM more often than medium sized enterprises.
