Summary/Abstract: In the Bronze Age the tracs settled down too in South Transilvania and whose settlements and fortresses are to be known from these places too. The Dacs descended from the Tracs, whose material culture was preserved by the descovered settlements and fortresse in the Olt and Tirnave vailles. These settlements are to be known from the IV—III. centuhry B.O.E. — A part of which showing continuity up to the roman conquest, the progress of the Dacs material culture, during the centuries in the South Transilvania shows the same development as the Dac population has undergone living on the external slopes of the Carpatians.
