Summary/Abstract: In December 2005 he left one of the most agreeable and precious collaborators of the National History Museum of Romania, a consultant and provider of data and relations, especially in the field of life and history of the royal family of Romania, the well-known and critically acclaimed art historian Radu Ionescu (1930-2005). He announced his participation in the symposium organized at the National Museum on November 8, 2005 on "The Royal Family in Romanian Culture", with the intervention of the Royal House, the supporter of the national spirit in art. The state of his health, not allowing him to be present at this event, sent us, in order to present to the participants in the symposium, the text of the intervention with the above title. Unfortunately, the time has not been too long to allow him to personally prepare, for printing, the material to bring, as appropriate, the corrections or additions he would have needed. We considered it a duty of honor to publish it in the "National Museum", vol. XVIII, as the author conceived it, completing it, where the need felt, with brief footnotes (preparing to print his article Occupied Mrs. Maria-Magdalena Ionita, Principal Investigator I at the National History Museum of Romania)
