Summary/Abstract: The article presents sports medals dedicated to the first target shooting associations of Bucharest. The first association was founded in 1862, on 5/17 May in Bucharest, by some sports enthusiasts: Scarlat Ghica (the first president of the company), Pantazi Ghica, General Florescu (the president from April 1864), Radu Rosetti (former prefect, the father of a well-known historian with the same name), Barbu Bellu (ex minister of justice), and others. The society was legislated by a decree of prince Al. I. Cuza signed in 1865, so shooting competitions were instituted during each year. The most ancient piece presented is an unpublished badge, awarded for the second prize, at the 1864 shooting competition which probably took place in Bucharest. The second piece is a medal-prize awarded by the Military School of Iassy - 1st prize for gymnastics, 1864-1865; To the right is represented a portret less known to prince Cuza
