Summary/Abstract: Information warfare is a fundamental concept in the research on contemporary conflicts. Because of the dynamic changes in technology and communications, the universal access to the Internet, and the availability of modern instruments, information warfare expands its capabilities. Presently the cyberspace is among the most important environments in which information warfare activities are conducted. Therefore, it is essential to identify major issues and aspects of this phenomenon, examining especially its impact on European security.
