Summary/Abstract: The Islamization processes affect the territory of Anchialo kaza, like the other Rumelian lands. The motives of most of the converts are clear – salvation from slavery, less taxes, the possibility of permanent financial support from any income source and the possibility of career development in the Ottoman ruling party.
