Summary/Abstract: Globalization is a process influencing each spheres of social life as well as the life of an individual. Special evolution may be observed in the field of work and education, which went through many changes under the globalization factors influence. Education is this branch, which, to a great degree, shapes the image and functioning of other branches. Development of our country and its competiveness depends on the education and teacher’s level. Globalization processes require preparing a new, different citizen, different men, who will be able to adapt to social, cultural and economical changes. We do not live in a vacuum, and it is required from contemporary education to be able to prepare an individual who is a world, not only a Europe, citizen. Globalization processes have a decisive influence on the job market requirements, on the character of human work. Greater crumbling of actions and automatization lead to changes in work perception, to new demands, to proper qualifications. Globalization forces an individual not only to develop and broaden own competences, but also to become more flexible, resistant to changes and living in uncertainty.
