Monitoring and control activities in the risk management process of an insurance company

Summary/Abstract: It seems that the concomitant use of conventionally called horizontal and vertical structure of the risk management process allows the insurance undertaking to sensitize the whole process of risk management at all factors that influence it, in the earliest moment of their occurrence. Vertical structure of the risk management process of insurance companies, which has been built based on international standards of risk management, distinguishes stages control, monitoring and communication. Monitoring and controlling are a step in the process which should also permeate every stage of the vertical structure and is the only step that takes place in the structure of vertical and horizontal enterprise risk management process of insurance companies.
