Summary/Abstract: The article concerns marketing activity of Polish regions in social networking services. It is beginning from the characteristics of functional features of social networking services. In a further part of the carried out considerations, the author paid attention to the selected aspects of marketing activity of local self-governments in social networking services. There were subsequently analysed the trends taking place on profiles of the selected Polish regions represented on Facebook. The key part of the discussion was based on the research findings presented in the report worked out by the research company Sotrender.
