Lease as a Form of Administration of Agricultural Land With State Treasury Resources in Terms of New Regulations

Summary/Abstract: After the Polish accession to the European Union we observe increased interest in theacquisition of agricultural properties. In respect of a substantial part of agricultural landremaining in the Stock of the State Treasury of land lease functions as a form of distributionof this land. On 1 May 2016. had finished a transitional period in the acquisition of real estateby foreigners. They were prepared and implemented new regulations aiming to preventingthe acquisition of land by non-Polish citizens. According to the current law, land lease is tobe the main form of distribution of land remaining in the Stock of the State Treasury. Aspart of the article attempts to identify the factors that affect the size of rent obtained. Theanalysis covered the period from 1992 to 2016 (first half of year). The aim of the study is toidentify trends in the management of real estate remaining in the Stock SP, including mainlythe disposal of the Agricultural Property Agency in terms of new legal requirements.
