Summary/Abstract: In his article, the author presented considerations on the idea of implementation of nutrition consultancy services as an innovative component of the beauty salons’ offer. He discussed the specificity of innovations in the service sector indicating correlations between human nutrition and health and beauty. He presented the effects of research on attitudes of owners and clients of beauty salons towards the proposed innovative changes. The research was carried out by the method of questionnaire-based survey among 68 owners and 684 clients of beauty salons in the area of Tricity. He ascertained respondents’ positive attitudes towards the proposed form of innovation. In the respondents’ opinion, enhancement of the offer of beauty salons with nutrition consultancy services may yield measurable benefits to both their owners and clients. Favourable implications may be of the marketing (improvement of the market image, growth of firm’s competitiveness, improvement of effectiveness of cosmetic procedures), economic (growth of incomes), and social (time economy, growth of nutrition awareness, promotion of the principles of rational nutrition) nature.
