COMMENDABLE CHARACTERISTICS IN HUMAN BEHAVIOR

Summary/Abstract: In an effort to improve the status of the Religion course in my school, I try to introduce some additional elements to further attract the children and make this course more interesting. I have achieved this through introduction of certain new teaching methods. I have started the class with a short story “About nails”, told in a form of a multimedia presentation. Then, through a game of association, pupils and I revealed the title of the teaching unit at hand. The pupils were then divided into selfselected groups and then they picked various terms (nobility, patience, pride and dignity…), grouping themselves accordingly. The groups’ task was to answer the questions and paint their papers, which were later ranked by the pupils themselves, using the gallery of paintings and exit cards.
