CLASS PREPARATION: TYPES OF RITUAL CLEANSINGS IN ISLAM

Summary/Abstract: One of the present-day priorities of the Islamic community is improving Islamic education in schools. In order to be successful, Islamic teachers must primarily be well educated. If we are to have well educated Muslims in the future, we must move away from stereotypical to modern educational principals and standards. It is impossible to be a good Islamic teacher without appropriate education and right pedagogical approach. No proper school class can be held without thorough and good quality written class preparation. This is one of the main success factors for school classes. Many Islamic teachers do have theoretical knowledge on how to organize a class, but have very little practical knowledge on how to do that. Therefore, the written class preparation presented in this article, for a class held at the Teocak High School on February, 28th, 2006, was meant to serve as a guide to the colleagues who prepare classes in Islamic education.
