PREPARING THE DEMONSTRATION CLASS IN THE ISLAMIC RELIGIOUS EDUCATION

Summary/Abstract: Muslim primary religious school (maktab) and Islamic religious instruction in the regular schools represent the priorities of the Islamic community at present. A muallim primarily must be educated in order to be successful in either maktab or school. We must move from the stereotypical kind of teaching to a more contemporary way of teaching which respects pedagogical standards and principles, if we are to have educated Muslims in the community. One of the main factors of successful class teaching is a thorough and good written preparation for the class.
