Summary/Abstract: Organic food is getting more popular among Europeans. In accordance with data of the Research Institute of Organic Agriculture (FiBL), the organic market in Europe since 2004 has increased by 9% every year. In Poland, along with growing interest in healthy lifestyle and diet, the significance of certified products is also increasing. The main purpose of the article is to present changes in the organic sector in Poland against the background of other European countries during last ten years. In the article, there were used data of the newest agriculture’s reports, as well as reports of the institutions that are directly connected with the organic market in Europe.
