Renewable energy as key element of energy and environmental security in Nordic countries

Summary/Abstract: The aim of this article is to analyse factors which determined the renewable energy sector in the Nordic countries. Energy is at the heart of widespread social, economic,and climate problems. In this context, there is no doubt that renewable energy sources constitute a key element of security in different countries. Clean energy technologies arevital for alleviating poverty, or promoting sustainability and environmental quality. The article shows how the productive use of renewable energy in the Nordic countries helps to improve environment, raises incomes, and provides security.
