Modernization and Development Investments in Polish Ports. Case Studies

Summary/Abstract: The study present the results of the research that focused on analyzing selected modernizationinvestments in Polish ports and how they contribute to their competitiveness on the global market. Casestudy method was used. It was proved that the government, ports’ authorities and the owners of containerterminals operating in Polish ports realized investments that increased range and quality of the services onthe global market of maritime transport. The position of the Polish ports in Baltic Sea Region became moresignificant as well. The research was carried out by Polish Maritime Cluster and aims to position Polish porton international market.
