Summary/Abstract: The new system of education finance, which has been in operation since the beginning of 1967, has brought into being new relations between education and society through the formation of educational associations (as a special form of linkage of all those interested in the development of this sector of social activity) and through the provision of independent sources for financing education. The implementation of the new system in the course of the last three years has contributed to the development of new socio-economic relations in education and an improvement in its financial situation. The formation of educational associations, which are made up of representatives of all factors concerned, the provision of autonomous sources of finance, and modern approach to education as a whole have made it increasingly possible to overcome many inherited problems in this sector.
