Remarks on Adverbial Phrase as necessary Complement of the Verb

Summary/Abstract: The paper examines construction with adverbs (adverbial phrases) as both semantically necessary participants of some Polish verbs and syntactically irremovable complements of such verbs as {wyglądać jakoś, brzmieć jakoś, (po)czuć się jakoś, postępować jakoś, zachwywać się jakoś}. The analysis focuses on some problematic relations between semantic and syntactic structure of utterances. The objects (arguments of relations) that are represented on surface structure by the adverb were indicated based on the semantic explications of verbs in question.
