Summary/Abstract: Prospects of Anthropology in the Context of Contemporary Western Theology. The Christian anthropology is oft understood as an inclusive part of the faith teachings and based on Holy Revelation. This paper will present the perception of anthropology in western theology, underlining the relation with Christology. In addition to the mentioned understanding and definition of the human being, a new approach highlighted in the work of Wolfhart Pannenberg and Karl Rahner. The purpose of this study is to reveal the landscape of theological anthropology, in order to understand the possibility of a new theological-anthropological research.
