Summary/Abstract: What is man? Anthropology and theology. It is difficult to answer the question what man is, because of the various types of branches and disciplines called anthropology. Its relations with bioethics is given by the fact that taking decisions in bioethical issues sometimes depends on the point of view used to understand and explain the human being. The purpose of this study is to reveal the development and the landscape of anthropology as discipline in relationship with different fields of research in order to understand the context and possibility of an anthropological answer given by theology.
