Adequacy of the offer given by financial market institution to capital needs of SMEs

Summary/Abstract: One of the consequences of heterogeneity of SMEs are among others differentiated requirements for amount, form and source of capital. It often results in the fact that forms and sources of finance which are offered by financial market are not adequate or not accessible to SMEs. The aim of this paper is to carry out the analysis of availability of forms and sources of finance offered by the financial market institutions and directed to small and medium sized enterprises and to compare those results with the demand on capital created by SMEs. To achieve the above mentioned results the reports prepared by the European Commission and the European Central Bank, focused on the access of SMEs to finance, were used.
