Summary/Abstract: The aim of the paper is to identify current trends and to assess the prospects for the development of Polish exports of meat and meat products. The article analyzes the changes in the geographical and commodity structure of exports in the years 2003–2015 and compared the levels of prices obtained by Polish exporters on individual foreign markets. Studies have shown that, despite the unfavorable external circumstances, related to restrictions on trade, the meat sector remains crucial for the Polish food industry. It accounts for approx. 20% of exports and generates 1/3 of the surplus in trade in agri-food products. The poultry industry is growing the fastest in Poland. There are opportunities to further increase exports of meat and meat products both in the EU and in third country markets.
