Summary/Abstract: The aim of the study is to analyze the current trends and prospects of development of Polish agrifood trade with selected African, the Middle East and Asian countries. The article analyzes the Polish trade flows with selected countries, including changes in geographical and commodity structures as well as, based on the trade complementarity index, evaluated adjust the supply structure of Polish exports to the structure of import demand in these countries. Studies have shown that in recent years, the role of third countries in Polish exports of agri-food products has steadily increased, however they still have relatively little significance, and the trade with these countries is not very diversified. Low values of complementarity index indicate unused possibilities of selling Polish food on the analyzed markets, and confirm existing prospects for further development of Polish extra-UE exports, as an alternative to the Russian market.
