Towards a new paradigm of tolerance in the culture of differentiation of academic life

Summary/Abstract: The text constitutes a response and expression of opposition to the concept of reduced discrimination applied at the university, proposed by Professor Piotr Nowak. The author points to the need to seek a new paradigm of tolerance in the culture of academic life, the need for interpersonal decentration, which he sees as the first step for creating a new paradigm of tolerance. Interpersonal decentration is treated as consideration of relations with other people, situations and phenomena, simultaneously from different perspectives, without the subjective deformation of the image of the analyzed phenomena. The text addresses a number of questions that may be valuable contributors to self-reflection for every academic teacher, to define their own place and role in creating a paradigm of tolerance in the culture of academic life.
